Canals have become an unexpected obsession recently.
Perhaps because they sit between worlds.
Not quite city. Not quite countryside.
Not fully industrial. Not fully natural.
Places where different realities overlap, coexist, and somehow still flow in the same direction.
There is something oddly reassuring about that.
Different worlds do not always have to collide.
Sometimes they simply flow alongside each other.
Always curious to discover another one.

這個地方名叫 Bridgewater Canal，距離英國的家很近，但很少機會專門過來。

走著走著，很有似曾相識感覺。忽然想起，沙田城門河，不就是那麼模樣：鬧市中忽然有一條河流，彷彿格格不入，但又彷彿和高樓大廈融為一體。

這條運河附近雖然不是香港的高樓大廈，但也算是小鎮中心地段。

矛盾中有統一，統一中有 inner conflict。立體的人生，本來就是如此。本能上，也許正是這種氛圍，讓我很有感。近來每次見到這種小運河，都會想很多。

也許，我們都是運河，只是有些人知道，有些人不知道，有些人裝作知道，有些人裝作不知到。
