The People's History Museum is beautifully curated. This single painting alone contains countless stories: miners, trade unions, protests, LGBT, women's rights, immigration, race, policing, and the changing relationship between ordinary people and the state.

You could easily spend hours here, and still discover something new each time.

這幅畫作出自英國藝術家 David Burnley，收藏於曼城的人民歷史博物館（People's History Museum）。沒有描繪特定事件，而是把英國近百年的工人運動、礦工罷工、工會、婦女平權、反種族歧視、移民社群、LGBT 等不同抗爭歷史片段拼貼在一起，像一幅濃縮的英國社會史。

細看畫面，礦工、警察、工會旗幟、示威群眾、家庭與孩子交錯出現，每一個人物、每一面旗幟都代表一段歷史、一場抗爭、一個時代。

這個博物館是滄海遺珠，策展得很好，歷史非常豐富而有溫度，傾向左翼、但也沒有隱藏左翼的失誤。遊客很少，完全免費，而且香港人會有驚喜，不劇透。
